Akkadisches Handwörterbuch

The Akkadian Concise Dictionary ( abbreviation " AHw " ) is a dictionary of the Akkadian language.

The work was edited using the lexical estate by Bruno Meissner by Wolfram von Soden. Published by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences it appeared in deliveries from 1959 to 1981 in Harrasowitz publisher. The deliveries resulted in three volumes.

The comprehensive standard dictionary of the Akkadian language to English is the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary ( CAD). Published in 1999, the one-volume Concise Dictionary of Akkadian that was created on the basis of hand dictionary with references to the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary and other sources.
