Aksaray (Istanbul)

Aksaray ( Turkish for white palace ) is a neighborhood in Istanbul's Fatih.

Aksaray Fatih and Eminönü between. The streets Vatan Caddesi and Millet Caddesi intersect in Aksaray. The district is well connected to public transport. The Tramvay and Hafif Metro have a holding station in Aksaray. One station is located on Yenikapı, where there are ferries to the Asian side of Istanbul. In Aksaray there is an underground shopping arcade (Turkish Yeralti Çarşısı ), bars and nightclubs. The district is known as a stronghold of prostitution.
