Alabama State Route 46

Alabama State Route 46 is a highway in the U.S. state of Alabama, which runs in an east - west direction.

The highway begins at U.S. Highway 78 in Heflin and ends at the Georgia border east of Ranburne and to Georgia State Route 166 A few miles behind Heflin meets the road on Interstate 20, the two-lane state highway serves as a connection between Heflin and places in the west of Georgia such as Bowdon and Carrollton.

From 1926 to 1934, the road was known as the U.S. Highway 78S and today's U.S. 78 was designated as U.S. Highway 78N.
