Alain Cadec

Alain Cadec ( born June 21, 1953 in Saint- Brieuc, Côtes -du-Nord ) is a French politician of the Union pour un mouvement populaire.

Life

Cadec studied economic and social management at the University of Rennes 2 After graduation, he worked in the insurance industry.

Policy

Cadec 1995 Member of the City Council of Saint- Brieuc and then was 2001-2009 first deputy mayor of Saint- Brieuc and a Vice President of the Local Government Association Saint- Brieuc. He was also from 2001 to 2008 Member of the General Council of the department of Côtes- d'Armor, where he was from 2004, Leader of the Opposition in the General Council.

Since 2009 Cadec is member of the European Parliament and heard there at the EPP. Cadec is in the European Parliament also one of the four Vice - Chairman of the Committee on Fisheries. Likewise Cadec has been a member of the Committee on Regional Development and the Delegation for relations with South Africa. As deputy Cadec is the special committee on organized crime, corruption and money laundering and the Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.
