Alain Clark

Alain Clark ( born June 4, 1979 in Haarlem ) is a Dutch singer and music producer. His musical breakthrough reached Clark in 2007 with his first English album Live It Out, which is placed for more than a year in the Dutch charts.

Biography

Alain Clark was born in Haarlem and grew up in the seaside resort of Zandvoort. Through his father Dane Clark, was the lead singer of the band Soul Dane and the Dukes of Soul, Alain Clark arrived early into contact with the music business.

The early 2000s, Clark tried to start a career as a singer and songwriter in Los Angeles, but returned after three years back without a record contract in the Netherlands. In Amsterdam Clark produced his debut album, released in the spring of 2004 Alain Clark; the single Heerlijk earned him a first chart placement.

In the same year, Clark was also active as a producer for other artists, he worked in the debut album by Boris Titulaer, the winner of the talent show Idols with. As one of the best new talents Alain Clark was awarded the 2004 Music Award Zilveren Harp. 2005 Clark participated in a charity project with Artiesten voor Azië.

The beginning of 2007 took Clark in Los Angeles his second album Live It Out to where the drummer Steve Gadd participated. Designed in the style of Motown Souls album reached number 2 in the Dutch charts and remained eighteen years placed. The one on the independent label 8ball Records released album reached double platinum status and became the best-selling album of the last years in the Netherlands. Several single releases reached a ranking in the top ten of the Dutch charts.

The great success of Live It Out in his home country secured Clark in 2008 of an international record deal with Warner Music. The Single Father & Friend, a duet by Alain Clark with his father, was released in Europe in spring 2009 and recorded several radio and music stations in the rotation.
