Alain Masudi

Alain Masudi Ekakanga ( in Israel also Allen Masudi, born February 12, 1978 in Kinshasa) is a football player from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Masudi has won several national player of his homeland.

Club career

Masudi was born in what was then Zaire, but grew up in France. He completed his first professional contract in 1997/98 with the Corsican first division club SC Bastia, but came only in the backup crew to missions. For the 1998/99 season, he joined the then second division side Nîmes Olympique. After a total of 11 second-division inserts ( one goal) of the first division side AS Saint- Étienne became aware of him, who committed him during the current season in early 2000. Masudi was indeed a total of eight league games (one goal ) is used, but could not prevail, and was further awarded in 2000. But Masudi could not convince the next two clubs ( Lok Moscow and the Lausanne Sports, four league games, no goals ).

Only the SK Sturm Graz was ready, the required transfer fee of 13 million ATS in the summer of 2001 - the equivalent of about one million euros - to pay. In the fall of 2003, the club however, dismissed him because he repeatedly - had traveled to his home - without asking for permission.

Masudi played for Graz quite successful in the Austrian Bundesliga, he scored eleven goals in 49 games.

After his time in Graz Masudi was about the Libyan club Al- Ittihad under contract before he moved to the 2004/05 season in the Israeli league. After each season as a regular player at Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Netanya he played for Maccabi Haifa. On 14 August 2007 Masudi signed a one -year contract for FC Ashdod. He was in Israel so far achieved 13 goals in 92 league games and 10 European games (10 in league games and three in European Cup matches ).

In addition to his club career Masudi played several times for the national team of his home; among other things, he took part in the African Cup of Nations 2004.
