Alain Poiré

Alain perry ( born February 13, 1917 in Paris, † January 15, 2000 in Neuilly -sur -Seine ) was a French film producer.

Life

Alain perry was born on 13 February 1917 in Paris. After he had completed his law studies, he worked from 1936 to 1938 for the Agence Havas. He managed a theater for four years and led from 1943 for five years, the Compagnie Parisienne de Location de film as its director. He then became head of the film department at Gaumont and from 1961 director of Gaumont International. Under his leadership, a number of successful films were produced, in which appeared a number of famous actors such as France's Louis de Funès, Yves Montand, Gérard Depardieu, Jean Gabin, Alain Delon, Lino Ventura and Sophie Marceau. In his more than 50 years of production work he was involved in the realization of 140 film projects.

His son, Jean -Marie perry (* 1945), is also active in the film industry as a director, screenwriter and producer.
