Alan Levy

Alan Levy ( born 1932 in New York, NY, USA, † 2004 in Prague, Czech Republic) was an American journalist.

Alan Levy began his journalistic career as a reporter and wrote in the 1960s, especially for the Life magazine.

In 1967 he moved with his family to Prague to adapt there in cooperation with Jiri Suchy and Jiri Šlitr pieces of two popular Czech performer for Broadway. However, this project learned from the invasion of Warsaw Pact troops to an end. Levy was an eyewitness and chronicler of the Prague Spring. In 1971, the communist regime notes and he was expelled with his family. Until 1990 he lived in Vienna. In 1991 he was co-founder and chief editor of the Prague Post.
