Alan Posener

Alan Posener (born 8 October 1949 in London) is a British- German journalist. He is the son of the architectural historian Julius Posener.

Life

Father's side, from a liberal German - Jewish, his mother came from a Anglo- Scottish family, he grew up in England, Malaysia and Germany. Posener studied German and English at the University of Berlin and the Ruhr- University Bochum. He was active as a cadre of the Communist Student Association and the Maoist KPD - AO. After graduating Poznań worked as a teacher at the Berlin Kant -Gymnasium and at the Martin Buber Comprehensive School in Berlin-Spandau.
