Alan Young

Alan Young ( born November 19, 1919 in North Shields, Tyne and Wear, in fact Angus Young) is a British actor.

Life

Alan Young was indeed the son of a Scots in the north of England, but the family moved to Edinburgh in Scotland when he was a toddler, and to Canada when he was about six years old. Later he moved to New York where he got his first television series with The Alan Young Show 1950. After this was canceled, he began to shoot some movies: Margie (1946 ), Chicken Every Sunday (1948 ), Mr. Belvedere Goes to College ( 1949), Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick (1952 ), Androcles and the Lion ( Androcles and the Lion, 1952), Gentleman Marry Brunettes (1955), tom Thumb ( tom thumb, 1958), The Time Machine ( The Time Machine, 1960), as well as a remake of the same, The Time Machine ( 2002).

His most famous role was Young in Mr. Ed, a television series of CBS, which aired from 1961 to 1966. He played the architect Wilbur Post, with "Mr. Ed " a talking horse had, which was only willing to communicate with him.

Later, he was increasingly working for Walt Disney movies, especially as voice actor for numerous cartoon characters, including Scrooge McDuck ( Scrooge McDuck ).
