Albert Bollmann

Albert Bollmann ( born October 5, 1889 in Langendreer; † January 26, 1959 ) was a German football player.

Bollmann played in the Crown Prince Cup of the year 1912/13, for West Germany. In winning the semi-final on 10 November 1912 in Duisburg against Southern (2-1), he played on the side of Heinz Ludewig. When West Germany in Berlin the final with 3:5 goals won against Brandenburg on June 8, 1913, he did not play. He denied on April 5, 1914 against the Netherlands, his only game for the German national team. At that time he played for the Essen Turnerbund and usually had to do it in West Germany with the Duisburg SpV. The game ended 4-4 draw in Amsterdam and Bollmann played it right half. Together with Heinz Ludewig from Duisburg SV and Joseph Schümmelfelder from Bonner FV he formed the German runner series. It was the last international match before the outbreak of the First World War. It was only on June 27, 1920 Germany was allowed to compete with the national team.

After the First World War Bollmann moved to Bochum, where he played for TuS. Later he lived in Wanne- Eickel, but remained VfL Bochum connected, in which he was even elected the mid-50s for the umpteenth time in the match committee.
