Albert Duncanson

Albert Gordon " Bert" Duncanson ( born October 2, 1911 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, † 24 March 2000 in Cowansville, Quebec ) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. In the 1932 Olympics he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Bert Duncanson won the 1931 Elmwood Millionaires the Memorial Cup. During the tournament he scored the winning goal for his team. Then he represented the Winnipeg Hockey Club at the Winter Games 1932 Canada. Until 1937 he continued to play in amateur hockey, including the senior championship of the Ontario Hockey Association. Later he worked in the oil industry. In 1998 he donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto some memory of his Olympic win.

Internationally

For Canada Duncanson took part in the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid, where he won the gold medal with his team. In the 5-0 win against Germany, he scored a goal.
