Albert Hensel

Albert Hensel ( born March 20, 1895 in Dresden, † June 5, 1942 in Berlin- Plotzensee ) was a German resistance fighter and member of the KPD.

Life

The trained milker was created in 1934 along with Charles Stone and the artist couple Fritz Schulze and Eva Schulze- Knabe in Dresden a resistance group.

Albert Hensel was arrested on 6 February 1941 and was sitting 14 months in detention. On March 11, 1942, he was convicted along with Fritz Schulze, Charles Stone and Herbert Bochow to death. The sentence was carried out on June 5, 1942 in Plotzensee with the guillotine.

Honor

In Dresden, a street was named after him in Trachenberge district.
