Albert S. Ruddy

Albert S. Ruddy ( born March 28, 1930) is a Canadian- born, twice Oscar- winning film producer and screenwriter.

Life

Albert S. Ruddy was born in Montreal, but grew up in New York. He studied chemistry at the City College of New York and then architecture at the University of California. Only through a meeting with Jack L. Warner, he came to the film, where he Sr., the father of the legendary Marlon Brando Marlon Brando met. He came to Warner Brothers to Universal Studios. In 1965 he produced the film Wild Seed, which was his first big feature film. He created the concept of the television series Hogan's Heroes, which ran from 1965 to 1971 on CBS. 1970 was succeeded by his second Filmmaking it. But his real triumph came only with the year 1972. He produced for Paramount, the gangster epic The Godfather with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. He won in 1973 for an Oscar for best film. After more than 30 years, he won the 2005 along with Clint Eastwood again this price point dollar for the film Million baby. He is one of the developers of the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, which ran from 1993 to 2001.
