Alberto Tomás Botía Rabasco ( born January 27, 1989 in Alquerías, Murcia ) is a Spanish football player. The central defender is at FC Sevilla under contract, but playing on loan at FC Elche.

Career

At the age of eight years, Botía CD Beniel joined, and soon after he moved to the Youth Division of Real Murcia. In 2003 he went as a 14 -year-old to FC Barcelona. After he played from 2006 to 2009 in the Barcelona B team, he gave 30 May 2009 in a 1-1 draw against Deportivo La Coruña his professional debut when he appeared as a substitute for Gerard Piqué.

For the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Sporting Gijon. In Gijón he etabilierte in this season as a regular player and played a total of 26 league games. For this reason the club for the next four years he was arrested under contract. The FC Barcelona has within the first three years of a repurchase option. After the descent of Gijón in the Segunda Division, he left the club in August 2012, and signed with FC Sevilla a five year contract.

In 2009 he took part with Spain's U -20 to U- 20 World Cup in Egypt. He resigned from Spain in the second round against Italy, after he was put into this game in the 28th minute already off. With the Spanish Olympic team, he participated in the Summer Games 2012 in London. The team retired following 0-1 defeats against Japan and Honduras, and a goalless draw against Morocco in the preliminary round of.
