Albrecht Konrad Finck von Finckenstein
Albrecht Konrad Reinhold Reich Graf Finck von Finckenstein ( born October 30, 1660 in Saberau, † December 16, 1735 in Berlin), from the Prussian nobility, was a Prussian Field Marshal and Prince educators, Governor of pillau, head of a Regiment of Foot, Knight of the Black Eagle, Order of St. John Senior, Amtshauptmann to Crossen and Owner of the Manor at Finckenstein.
Life
Finck von Finckenstein was the son of kurbrandenburgischen chamberlain Albrecht Christoph von Finckenstein and Charlotte Caroline of Obentraut. His father died before he was born, and three years old he lost his mother. 1676 he joined the Dutch, then in 1678 in the French military service, called here but when Louis XIV was preparing against Germany, and earned his resignation after his appointment as Major kurbrandenburgischer 1689 by warlike merit " weird prudence and modération, as well as impeccable conduite " higher ranks, grace and honor: Oberhofmeister them on two Crown Prince, 1710 the imperial Count, 1733 field Marshal rank.
In the years 1716 to 1720 Albrecht Konrad made at the request of the king Finckenstein Castle after designs by John von Collas build.
Frederick the Great intends twice in his writings of the substantial portion, had the Finckenstein in the victory of Malplaquet ( Oeuvres, Volume I, pp. 118 and 188) and also honors him as a model of soldierly eagerness to learn in one of his poems military content ( Volume X, p 228).
Finckenstein was " familiar to his friends, an enemy of everything being spread, condescending to Low, ingenious in generous donations ."
Family
Albrecht Konrad Finck von Finckenstein was since 1700 with Susanna Magdalena von Hoff ( 1676-1752 ), the mistress of the Queen Sophia Dorothea married. His in-laws were the chief steward of Hesse- Kassel Wilhelm von Hoff (also: Hoven ) ( 1644-89 ) and his wife Johanna Dorothea Schwertzeil to and from Willinghausen. The couple had five sons and four daughters.
