Albrecht von Müller

Albrecht von Müller ( * 1954 in Munich) is a German philosopher and former entrepreneurs.

He is Director of the Interdisciplinary Parmenides Center for the Study of Thinking. The Parmenides Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes interdisciplinary research into the topic thinking. In addition, he teaches philosophy at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich and the theory of thinking in the MCA program at the international school for advanced studies in Trieste, SISSA http://www.sissa.it/main/. His professional interests include the term or the concept of time and the theory of complex thinking. From Müller is an external member of the Human Science Center and the Munich Center of Neuroscience, Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. He is also on the Board of the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology and the Max - Planck - Institute for Biochemistry.

Müller received his doctorate in 1982 at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. From 1989 to 1995 he was director of the European Center for International Security ( EUCIS ).

In 2000, founded by Muller the Parmenides Foundation, conducts research on the foundations and limitations of human thought and brings findings from this basic research to application.

He is also known by that he temporarily became one of the richest people in Switzerland by the IPO of his company Think Tools in March 2000.
