ALBtelecom

Albtelecom is the largest fixed-line and Internet service providers in Albania. The company was established in 1992 licensed by Enti Rregullator i Telekomunikacioneve ( German Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications ) and first passed through the state.

In addition to the landline Albtelecom offers Internet usage with ADSL, Dial- Up and ISDN service.

Shareholding

With 76% of a Turkish consortium has been involved since October 1, 2007 at Albtelecom consisting of Çalık Holding ( 80%) and Türk Telekom (20 %). The remaining 24 % is held by the Albanian government. The privatization came about through an economic reform program of the government.

Indicators

Albtelecom dominates about 80% of the Albanian landline market. In addition, there are 75,000 Internet subscribers. For 2011, Albtelecom envisages investments of around € 40 million in the expansion of the network.

Subsidiaries

Eagle Mobile is a direct subsidiary of Albtelecom and is subject to their 100%. The subsidiary was established on March 12, 2008. It offers mobile subscriptions.
