Alejandro Daniel Wolff

Alejandro Daniel Wolff is an American diplomat, since September 2010 the United States ambassador in Chile.

Wolff was of 9 December 2006 to spring 2007 of the interim basis reigning Permanent Representative of the USA at the United Nations, after John R. Bolton was been back kicked and yet been appointed no new official representative. On 29 March 2007, the U.S. Senate confirmed the proposal of the White House, Zalmay Khalilzad to appoint as official representatives. Wolff functioned in the sequence again as his deputy,; he initially served as also under Khalilzad's successor Susan E. Rice this post. In September 2010 he stepped then the successor of Paul E. Simons in Chile.

He has 1978 graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles ( UCLA) his studies and entered 1979 in the Diplomatic Service of the United States. Wolff was 2001-2005 Deputy Head of Mission in France. He is married and speaks French and Spanish.
