Alejandro Moreno

Alejandro Enrique Moreno Riera ( born July 8, 1979 in Barquisimeto) is a former Venezuelan football player. He played on the position of the striker.

Clubs

1998 Moreno immigrated to the U.S. and played for the college selection team from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Four years later he finished his collegiate career with 65 goals scored.

In 2002 he went to Los Angeles Galaxy over the MLS SuperDraft. In his first season he played some missions. In the 2003 season, he became a popular Joker and contributed six goals at. Despite its good performance in 2003, he was not a regular player of the team in the 2004 season.

He was traded to the San Jose Earthquakes in 2005. There, he won his place. How many players of Earthquakes, he also became Houston Dynamo in the Earthquakes were merged, transferred in early 2006.

On 10 May 2007, he was replaced by Joseph Ngwenya of the Columbus Crew. With the crew after he won in 2002 and 2006 its third MLS Cup.

On 25 November 2009 he was selected in the MLS Expansion Draft 2009 Philadelphia Union.

On 24 November 2010 Moreno was selected in MLS Expansion Draft 2010 by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. A short time later he was passed along with Alan Gordon to CD Chivas USA. After two seasons for Chivas he finished 2012 at the age of 33, his football career.

His first cap for the Venezuelan national football team was against Australia on 18 February 2005.
