Aleksander Krupa

Olek Krupa ( born August 31, 1955 in Rybnik, Silesia, Poland ) is a Polish actor.

Life

Krupa studied acting at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw.

After a first trip to the U.S. in 1975, he returned to his home, where he performed at the Teatr in Krakow Scena STU. After another trip to the USA in 1981, he joined under the direction Joe Papp in plays such as My Uncle Sam, A Bright Room Called Day, American Notes and The Ballad of Soapy Smith.

In 1986, he was in Adrian Lyne's drama 9 ½ Weeks his American film debut. He repeatedly played Russian or Slavic characters, often villains in roles.

In addition to his work for film and television Krupa also appeared further on in the theater. So he took on roles in the theater productions of The Yellow House, Energumen, Division Street, Ubu, The Tower of Evil, The Irresistible Rise of Arturo Ui and Country Doctor.

From the relationship of artist Noa Ain, filmmaker and fashion designer Julia Ain - Krupa emerged.
