Aleksey Sokolov

Alexei Vladimirovich Sokolov (Russian: Алексей Владимирович Соколов, English transcription Aleksey Sokolov, . Born November 14, 1979 in Leningrad ) is a Russian marathon runner.

Three times ( 2003, 2005 and 2007), he won the Russian championship so far. In 2006 and 2007 he performed at the Dublin Marathon with 2:11:39 and 2:09:07 h h a course record, which he broke with the latter time the 10 year old national record of his coach Leonid Shvetsov.

Sokolow is 1.74 m tall, weighs 60 kg and is sporting a soldier.
