Alex Wurman

Alexander B. Wurman ( born October 5, 1966) is an American composer.

Biography

Alex Wurman is the son of composer Hans Wurman (1922-2001) and younger brother of the composer Felix Wurman ( 1958-2009 ). He attended Chicago 's Academy of Performing Arts High School and then studied composition at the University of Miami and the American Conservatory of Music. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he began to compose for student films before he could establish itself as a film composer for feature films. Since then, he wrote the music for films such as Hollywood Homicide, Four Christmases and The Switch. He won three BMI Film & TV Awards, and in 2010 for his score to the television movie You're not alone won an Emmy Award.
