Alexander Abian

Alexander Abian ( born January 1, 1923 as Smbat Abian in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan, † 25 July 1999) was an American mathematician Iranian- Armenian descent with professor at Iowa State University. Abian is known primarily for his proposal, with an atomic destruction of the Moon to solve the negative effects of the tides radically.

Abian received his Ph.D. 1956 at the University of Cincinnati in Isaac Barnett ( Invariants and Covariants of Systems of Linear Differential and Integro - Differential Equations ).
