Alexander Boyd

Alexander Boyd ( born September 14, 1764 in Albany, New York, † April 8, 1857 in Esperance, New York ) was an American politician. Between 1813 and 1815 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Alexander Boyd was born during the British colonial era in Albany and grew up there. He moved to Middleburgh in Schoharie County, where he worked in agriculture. Politically, he was a member of the Federalist Party. In the congressional elections of 1812, for the 13th Congress, he was in the 13th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took on March 4, 1813, the successor of Uri Tracy. He retired after the March 3, 1815 out of the Congress. On April 8, 1857, he died in the Town of Esperance and was then buried in Schoharie on the same cemetery.
