Alexander Bury

Alyaksandr Bury (White Russian Аляксандр Буры, Russian Александр Бурый / Alexander Bury, born 14 September 1987 in Belarus ) is a Belarusian tennis player.

Career

Bury is mainly active in duplicate and plays mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Futures Tour. He has so far been celebrating a single and double eleven wins on the Futures Tour. On the Challenger Tour he won until the doubles tournament in Tyumen in 2013 and was already four times in a final. He played so far neither on the World Tour even at a Grand Slam tournament.

6 February 2012, he first broke the top 200 in the world rankings in a double and his highest placement was a rank 171 in May 2012.

On 26 June 2012, the ITF announced that Bury will compete at the Olympic Games in London in the men's doubles. His partner was Max Mirnyi, but they failed in the first round of the Indians Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna in three sets.

He plays since 2005 for the Belarusian Davis Cup team. For this he competed in seven matches, in which he has a have a record of 2-1 and doubles 4-2 in singles.
