Alexander, Count of Schönburg-Glauchau

Alexander Graf von Schoenburg - Glauchau ( born August 15, 1969 in Mogadishu, Somalia ) is a German journalist and writer and head of the ducal branch of the once magnificent house unable Schoenburg.

Life

Alexander von Schoenburg ( the additional Glauchau he uses for his publications barely) is the son of Joachim Graf von Schoenburg - Glauchau and Beatrix Countess Szechenyi de Sarvar - Felsővidék. His siblings are Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, Maya Flick and Carl Alban von Schoenburg and Anabel Maya Felicitas from the second marriage of his father with Ursula Zwicker. Work as a journalist and writer

Known to a wider public was Alexander von Schoenburg 1999 as a member of the so-called " pop-cultural quintet " (with Christian Kracht, Eckhart Nickel, Benjamin of Stuckrad -Barre and Joachim Bessing ). He was also active as a freelance journalist (including for Esquire, Time and The World Week ). A bestseller, he landed in 2005 with The Art of stylish depleting, in which he the findings from "500 years of [n ] family experience in social decline " recycled according to publisher ads.

Alexander von Schoenburg was also, since 2005 Editor in Chief of Park Avenue. In 2006, he was according to the publisher this post at his own request and was replaced by Andreas Petzold.

On April 30, 1999 ( eccles Heusenstamm May 29, 1999 ) married Count Alexander von Schoenburg - Glauchau in Berlin Irina Verena Princess of Hesse -Kassel- Rumpenheim. They have a daughter and two sons.

Relationship

By his wife, whose grandmother was Princess Sophia of Greece, Schoenburg is a great-nephew of Prince Consort Philip of Great Britain, and thus also of Queen Elizabeth II through the common ancestor John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough is he also a cousin of 8th degree of late Lady Di About Marlborough and his ancestors King Edward I of England can be traced back to the conquerors to William his ancestors.
