Alexander Uninsky

Alexander Uninski (* February 15, 1910 in Kiev, Russian Empire (now Ukraine), † December 19, 1972 in Dallas, Texas) was an American pianist of Ukrainian origin.

Life and work

Alexander studied at the Kiev Conservatory Uninski. In 1932 he won the first prize at the International Chopin Competition. Since 1955 he was a professor in the School of Music Toronto. He also taught at Southern Methodist University.
