Alfie Boe

Career

Boe grew up in Blackpool and although he grew up in his youth with classical music, he first aspired to no singing career. Only when his vocal talent could make others, he followed the advice to apply in the D' Oyly Carte Opera Company in London. He was admitted and went with the troop with pieces of Gilbert and Sullivan on tour. Then Boe got a scholarship to the Royal College of Music. His further training pathway included the National Opera Studio and the Royal Opera House 's Villar Young Artists Program. The early 2000s, he was taken by Baz Luhrmann in his Broadway production of La Bohème. The performance was a great success and the ensemble received a Tony Award in 2003.

2006 wrote Alfie Boe a record deal with the label Classic FM and released his debut album, Classic FM Presents Alfie Boe, who came into the UK classical charts at number three. Then, the tenor changed in the same year to EMI Classics and published in 2007 the album Onward. It even came up in the official UK charts. Further albums followed, including La Passione with an album of traditional Italian songs.

In addition, he worked on with opera performances in and took over in 2010 at the anniversary of the musical Les Misérables at London's O2 Arena a major role. Its popularity has grown in 2010 was reflected also in the release of the album Bring Him Home. It came in the top ten of the UK albums and held for months in the charts. Then he played Les Misérables in London's Queen 's Theatre and joined the Last Night of the Proms and the Diamond Jubilee Concert on to celebrate the 60-year Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Three more of his album releases also came in the top ten of the UK charts. To this end, his albums have been released in the U.S. and also reached there in the top ranks classical charts.
