Alfons von Rosthorn

Alphonsus Rosthorn ( * 19 September 1857 in Oed, Lower Austria, † August 9, 1909 in Seckau, Styria ) was an Austrian physician.

Life

Alphonsus Rosthorn, a member of the family of industrialists Rosthorn, was the son of Joseph of Rosthorn. Rosthorn first studied zoology from 1877 to 1880, then to 1884 at the Medical University of Vienna. He was a pupil of Theodor Billroth and Rudolf Chrobak. After graduation he was assistant first in Graz and then again in Vienna II at the University Women's Hospital. From 1891 he was professor at the Karl- Ferdinand University in Prague. From 1898 he was professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Graz, in the sequence in Heidelberg, as well as board again. At the II University Hospital in Vienna
