Alfred Chilton Pearson
Alfred Chilton Pearson ( born October 8, 1861 in London, † January 2, 1935 in Cambridge ) was a British classical scholar. He dealt with the Greek drama, especially with the tragedian Sophocles. From 1919 to 1921 he was Gladstone Professor of Greek at the University of Liverpool, 1921-1928 Regius Professor of Greek at Cambridge University.
