Alfred Dompert

Alfred Dompert ( born December 24, 1914 in Stuttgart, † August 11, 1991 ) was a German track and field athlete and Olympic medal winner, who won the bronze medal in Berlin in the 3000 -meter steeplechase at the 1936 Olympic Games ( 9:07,2 min). Domperts bronze medal was the first Olympic medal for a German runner in a single discipline at all. 1937, 1947 and 1950 was Dompert German champion in steeplechase. Dompert launched for Stuttgarter Kickers. At a size of 1.72 m, he weighed 62 kg.

It was 1950, the first winner of the Rudolf- Harbig Memorial Prize.
