Ali Akbar Moradi
Ali Akbar Moradi (Persian علی اکبر مرادی; * 1957 in Kermanshah ) is a Kurdish singer from Iran. He is regarded as representatives of the Kurdish music.
Biography
Moradi was born the son of a Kurdish family in the western Iranian city of Kermanshah. He started at a young age to make music and learned from Kurdish musicians like Veli Sayyed Husseini Sayyed Mirza Khafashyan, Sayyed Mahmoud Alevi and Allahmouradi Hamedi tanbour to play.
In 1971 he gave his first solo concert in Kermanshah. In 1981 he organized, together with the Kurdish musician Shahram Nazeri in European and North American cities such as London, New York City and San Francisco concerts. On 30 September 2006 he gave a concert with the Voices of Kurdistan program at the San Francisco World Music Festival. Moradi released five albums.
