Ali Younesi

Ali Younesi (Persian علی یونسی; * 1955 in Nahavad ) is an Iranian cleric with the religious title Hodschatoleslam and was dated 23 February 1999 to 24 August 2005 Head of the Iranian intelligence MOIS.

After the Islamic revolution Younesi first worked as a judge of the Revolutionary Court in Qom after working in Tehran. Along with Mohammad Reyshahri 1984 he reorganized the Iranian secret service, later he was in military intelligence operates.

By Mohammed Khatami Younesi was appointed as the new head of the Secret Service in 1997, dismissed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2005 in the course of taking office.
