Alireza Vahedi Nikbakht

Alireza Vahedi Nikbakht ( born June 23, 1980 in Mashhad; persian علیرضا نیکبخت واحدی ) is an Iranian football player. He plays in the Iranian national football team and at Persepolis as a midfielder.

His first professional club was Abu Moslem Mashhad in his home town of Mashhad, where he was under contract only in 1999. After he switched to Esteghlal Tehran. For the national team he plays since 2000. Previously, he has played 64 international matches and scored eleven goals in the process. He participated in the Asian Cup in 2007 and was originally part in Iran's squad for the 2006 World Cup. Due to an injury he did not then took part in the World Cup.
