Alison Inverarity

Inverarity Alison ( Alison Jane Inverarity; born August 12, 1970 in Perth ) is a former Australian high jumper.

In 1991, she won at the Universiade and Eleventh was at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. The following year she was at the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992 to eighth place, and she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Toronto in 1993.

In 1994, she won at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria and finished seventh at the IAAF World Cup in London. In the 1995 World Cup in Gothenburg and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta it was eliminated in the qualifying.

In 1998, she finished seventh at the World Cup in Johannesburg and won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 they did not make it past the first round.

Eight times she was Australian champion (1991, 1993-1995, 1997-2000).

After the end of their sporting careers, she married the decathlete Scott Ferrier.
