Allan Lindberg

John Allan Lindberg ( born June 21, 1918 in Västanfors; † May 2, 2004 in Garphyttan, community Örebro ) was a Swedish athlete.

After winning the Swedish championship in the pole vault in 1946 Lindberg won at the European Championships in Oslo with Swedish national record of 4.17 meters. He improved the record in the same year to 4.20 meters, which was ranked 8th in the world leaderboard years. The same height he also reached 1947. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948, he jumped in the qualifying 4.00 meters, achieved in the final but only 3.80 meters, which was ranked 12th
