Allasdale

Allasdale ( Scottish Gaelic: Allathasdal ) is a village on the island of Barra, which belongs to the southern islands of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland.

2007 some prehistoric structures were investigated, which were buried under sand dunes and were partially free blown by the winter storms of 2005. Among the finds Bronze Age stone boxes, a stone with plow brands and Iron Age roundhouses, the similarities with those were exhibited at Skara Brae in the Orkney. A Wheelhouse was associated with a basement - a structure that suggests the exercise of rituals.
