Alliance of Progressives

The National Alliance dei Progressisti ( Alliance of Progressive ) was a coalition of center-left parties in Italy for the general election in 1994. The Alliance was founded on 1 February 1994.

Members of the Alliance were:

  • Cristiano Sociali
  • Federazione dei Verdi
  • La Rete
  • Partito della Rifondazione Comunista (PRC)
  • Democratic Party of the Sinistra (PDS )
  • Partito Socialista Italiano ( PSI)
  • Rinascita Socialista

After losing an election of 27 March 1994, the alliance virtually ceased to exist. At the general election 1996, the Partito della Refoundation in some constituencies candidates under the symbol of Progressisti, which were supported by the parties to the Ulivo.
