Alloclita deprinsi

Alloclita deprinsi is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the splendor butterfly ( Cosmopterigidae ).

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 11-13 millimeters. Head and forehead ( frons ) are white. The vertex (vertex ) and the neck tufts shining ochreous white and dark brown on the side. The Patagia ( paired structure on the pronotum that covers the base of the front wings ) are dorsally ochreous white and dark brown laterally. The antennae are curled gray-brown and dark. The basal joint ( scape ) is dark brown and has a white apical ring. The first segment of labial palps is coarsely scaly, dark brown outside and white inside. The second segment has dark brown basal and subapikale rings ventral widest. On the inside of the rings may occasionally be interrupted. The third segment is ocher white and has basal and subapikale rings and ocher stains. The thorax is ochreous white and spotted with reddish brown and dark gray scales. The tegulae are front and rear black brown ocher color white. The forelegs and middle legs are black brown. The hind legs have white femora, tibiae and tarsi which are gray. The tibiae of all legs have subbasale, medial and apical rings, the tarsi of all legs are on the first segment basal and apical rings. All other segments have white rings, the Spurs are ocher white.

The fore wings shining gray and have 1/ 5 of the forewing length of an inclined inwards binding. With 2/ 5 of the forewing length is located on the Costa loader a white spot, a large similar spot is present at 3/ 4 of the forewing length. A white Dorsalfleck is opposite the first Costalfleck and sometimes merges the wing inner edge with the white napkin. Interior angles and wing tip have more white spots. A black- brown spot is located at the wing base above the anal fold. The wing base and the inside of the white binding are edged with reddish brown and dark brown scales. The outer edge of the napkin is made of ocher, reddish brown and dark brown scales. The outer sides of the first costal and Dorsalflecks and the inner sides of the second costal and Dorsalflecks are surrounded by well -colored scales. In the middle of wing there are two black-brown stains, the first is located forward of the wing half, the second at 2/ 3 of the forewing length. Both spots are white ocher and reddish brown edges. The fringe scales are tinted gray and ocher. At the apex they are strongly mixed with dark gray scales. On the wing of a dark gray inner edge hem line runs. The hindwing shining gray and ocher have Frans shed. The abdomen is yellow to ocher and ventral slightly lighter. The after tuft is white.

In the males, the left brachium is significantly longer than the Tegumen. It is slender, distally bent at right angles and has a pointed apex. The right brachium is narrow at the base and slightly expands to the center. Distal it tapers to a rounded tip. The Tegumen is dilated square and distally. The Valvellae are slender and straight. The Valven are slender and spatulate. They have a wide base and a rounded tip. The aedeagus is slender and distally slightly pointed.

The genital armature of the female is unknown.

Dissemination

Alloclita deprinsi is native to Asia Minor.

Biology

The biology of the species is unknown. The moths were collected in May and August.
