The members of the genus are medium sized moths. The head is scaly smooth, the sensors are three-quarters as long as the forewing. The labial palps are long and curved. The fore wings are rather broad and lanceolate. They have a clearly defined basal darkened and one or more, often very indistinct binding. The hind wings are slightly narrower than the forewings. They are lanceolate and taper to a point.

In the males, the Brachia are more or less symmetrical. They are as long as the Tegumen or longer. The left brachium is longer than the right. The Tegumen is broad, square or slightly tapered distally. The Valven are fringed, have a broadened base and a rounded apex. The Valvellae are finger- shaped and rather long and slender. The aedeagus is long and curved and tapers distally.

In females, the posterior Apophyses are slightly longer than the anterior Apophyses. The corpus bursae is oval and may be provided with Signa.
