Alloclita brachygrapta is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the splendor butterfly ( Cosmopterigidae ).

Features

The description is based on two males who are in the collection of the Natural History Museum in London and are in pretty bad shape. Meyrick mentioned in 1925 in his original description of a total of four copies, including there was also a female. The whereabouts of the other two specimens is unknown.

The moths have a wingspan of 11-12 millimeters. The head shines yellowish white. The antennae are curled dark brown and grayish white. Thorax and tegulae are pale ocher. The forewings are ochreous white and have at the wing base an ocher brown spot on the Costa loader. An arc-shaped ocher brown binding runs at 1 /5 of the forewing length of the Costa loader to anal fold. The basal part of the forewing is pale colored ocher brown and becomes darker toward the binding. An ocher brown spot is located at 2 /5 of the forewing length on the Costa loaders, in the wing center it is associated with an ocher longitudinal line. The apical region is covered with ocher and ocher brown scales. The dorsal forewing half is tinted gray from the dash to the apex. The fringe scales are yellowish white. The hind wings shining yellowish white.

The genital armature of the male differs from the similar species Alloclita recisella, Alloclita haifensis and Alloclita deprinsi by the almost straight left brachium and the short and broad at the base Valven.

The genital armature of the female is unknown.
