Alloclita haifensis

Alloclita haifensis is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the splendor butterfly ( Cosmopterigidae ).

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 13-15 millimeters. The head gleams yellowish white, the back he is more white ocher and dark brown on the sides. The antennae are yellowish-white and curled very indistinct pale ocher. The thorax is yellowish white, front opening ocher and posterolateral with two black brown spots. The tegulae are yellowish white and mottled dark brown front. The forewings are yellowish white and mixed with ocher and pale brown scales. The first quarter is dark brown and pale towards the wing base. The outer edge is extended below the anal fold in toward the apex. The genital armature of the males is similar Alloclita recisella, but differs by the longer left brachium, the more curved and bent at right angles Valvellae aedeagus.

Dissemination

Alloclita haifensis is located in the Middle East (Israel, Palestine).

Biology

The biology of the species is unknown. The moths were collected in May in dune areas.
