Alois Handl

Alois Handl ( born July 22, 1837 in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, † February 1915 in Czernowitz ) was an Austrian physicist and university teacher.

Life

1862 Handl was as Dr. suppl. at the University of Lemberg. When she was Polonized he joined in 1872 as a teacher at the Theresa Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt. Appointed in 1876 by the new Franz Joseph's University, he established the chair of experimental physics. 1879/80 and 1894/95 he was rector of the University of blossoming. The chemist Richard Pribram he examined the viscosity of chemical compounds. When he retired in 1906 after 30 years, came Joseph Geitler of Armingen to the chair.
