Alois Kracher

Alois Kracher ( born February 23, 1959 † 5 December 2007 Illmitz, Burgenland, Austria ) was one of the most successful wineries in Austria. Became world famous " Luis " by his noble sweet wines.

Biography

Firecracker first studied chemistry and worked as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. From 1986 he was responsible for the vineyard of the family in Illmitz, Burgenland, works. A first big He caused a sensation in 1991 with his sweet wines. Since 1994, he has received numerous awards for its wines and was six times chosen by the Wine Magazine's Winemaker of the Year. Alone in New York 's Sweet and dessert wines are served in 400 restaurants. Alois Kracher was so far the only Austrian who received 100 points for its wines from the wine critic Robert Parker. He was referred to as " leader of the Austrian wine industry ".

Alois Kracher died of a pancreatic tumor. He is survived by his wife Michaela Kracher and his son, Gerhard. Born in 1981, Gerhard Kracher, which is involved in the work of the wine-producing business since his youth, takes this away.
