Alphabeat

Alphabeat is a six -piece band from Silkeborg, Denmark.

History

The Danish debut single, Boyfriend went to number 11 in the Danish charts, their second 10,000 Nights of Thunder made it to 16th place debut album Alphabeat went to number 2 in the album charts and reached platinum status in Denmark. Despite, or perhaps because of the success, the band preferred a sustainable way to cement their status. It rejected the Danes to play in the opening act of the Spice Girls, as they felt uncomfortable to play in front of a large crowd that does not know their songs.

Alphabeat are on EMI UK and at Copenhagen Records.

In 2008 she had the Danish Roskilde Festival its biggest appearance. In addition, Alphabeat managed to coincide with the title Fascination international breakthrough. In the UK, the song became a top 10 hit and also in Germany and other northern European countries was the song in the charts. Reason for this is that the title was used as a soundtrack for a Coca -Cola campaign.

In 2009 she was awarded with the European Border Breakers Award ( EBBA ).
