Álvaro Cervera

Álvaro Cervera Díaz ( born September 20, 1965 in Santa Isabel ) is a former Spanish footballer and current coach.

Playing career

Clubs

Cervera began his career at Racing Santander, rose with the association of Cantabria but starting in the 1986/87 season. Then he moved to the 1987/88 season to RCD Mallorca and dismounted again. After the direct re-emergence, the Spaniard has developed into a world-class midfielder and was national player.

After the renewed decline in the season 1991/92, the Spaniard was obliged by FC Valencia. Here Cervera qualified for the first and only time in his career for the UEFA Cup.

1995 returned Cervera back for two seasons to Racing Santander. Then he played another year at Hércules CF in the Segunda División, and another year at FC Ontinyent in Segunda División B, before he ended his career at FC Catarroja.

National

Cervera played four internationals for the Spanish national team. His debut was on September 4, 1991 as part of a 2-1 victory over Uruguay.

Coaching career

Since 2003, Cervera has been working as a coach.
