Amanda Root
Amanda Root ( born 1963 in Essex, England) is a British actress.
Life and achievements
Root graduated from the force as elitist drama school from Webber Douglas. She made her debut in the television film This Lightning Always Strikes Twice in the year 1985. In 1987 she became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she appeared in five subsequent years in numerous plays. In the later years more theater performances took place on the stages of London's Oxford Stage Company (1999 ) and the Almeida Theatre ( 2000).
In the television film A Man Goes Home (1993 ) Root played alongside Ciarán Hinds one of the major roles. In the film drama Jane Austen's Seduction (1995 ) she played alongside Ciarán Hinds one of the main roles. In the film drama Jane Eyre (1996 ) by Franco Zeffirelli, she performed alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg. In the TV drama Love Again ( 2003), she played one of the major roles alongside Tara Fitzgerald.
