Amandla Stenberg

Amandla Stenberg (born 23 October 1998 in the Los Angeles, California) is an American actress.

Life

Amandla Stenberg's mother is African-American, her father Dane, her paternal grandmother a Inuk from Greenland. The meaning of the name " Amandla " comes from the Zulu language and means " strength". The parents were inspired to the name of Miles Davis ' album " Amandla " (1989).

At the age of four years was Stenberg in commercials before the camera. She took her first film role in 2011 in Colombiana with Zoë Saldaña in the lead role, playing the role of the main character in childhood. In 2012, A Taste of Romance followed as a television production. In March 2012, the science fiction film was released The Hunger Games - The Hunger Games in the theater where she was seen in the role of Rue.

In her spare time Amandla plays the violin and guitar.
