Amasis (potter)

Amasis was a Greek potter who between 560/50 and 530/20 worked in Athens BC.

In the pottery workshop of Amasis also a noted painter, referred to by the potter Amasis as a painter and is known as one of the best archaic vase painters worked. His works are mostly blackfigure, and later red-figure. He and Exekias created the first significant Bildfeldamphoren, in each of which a narrative image is available on both sides.
